Internet poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players attain 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s value is equal to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a sum equal to the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
