Amateurs Strategy for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in a great game for beginning level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the dealer, unlike most other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not need to fret about other, more knowledgeable players winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow edge is the fairly slow game pace, novices can take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty choices.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with basically a small amount of cash since, to lose, both of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino receives 7 cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
